Did you know, Apple do not currently make their parts available for purchase by Third Party Repair Companies.
Hopefully, with the 2021 introduction of their Self Service Repairs, Apple will recognize the importance of the Right to Repair in Europe and release their parts for purchase by the wider community.
As of 2022, this has not yet been part of Apple's plan.
You can make a difference by joining the Right to Repair Community in so large companies can acknowledge their customers' need for electronics that can be repaired and recycled.

In a nutshell, no Repair Company has the ability to restore or repair Apple brand devices with Apple authentic parts, unless they are explicitly part of Apple's Authorized Service Providers.

HOW DOES THIS AFFECT AN APPLE DEVICE?
Apple systematically 'checks' their Apple products when their customers have an un-authorized or Out-Of-Warranty Service by a Third Party Repair Service. They do this via Display Messaging and iOS updates.
Read below to see what Messaging or updates you can expect to see.
WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?
Depending on whether you get an iPhone Screen Repair or an iPhone Battery Replacement, your iPhone may display the below Messages on your device.
Face ID and Touch may also be affected on your iPhone, depending on the Model.
With Apple's latest updates and a quick setting reset- none of these should affect the functionality of your iPhone after an Apple Repair.
'IMPORTANT MESSAGES' ON IPHONE
For Apple products with an iOS 15.2 and later, your iPhone may display an 'Important Display Message' on your phone if you get an iPhone Screen Repair
Alternatively, for Apple products with an iOS 15.2 and earlier, it will display an 'Unknown Part ⚠' message.
With an iPhone Battery Replacement, your iPhone will display an 'Important Battery Message'
These messages do not hinder the performance or function of your device in any way.
This is not a reflection of the Repair being done incorrectly or not to standard.
FACE ID DISABLED
Historically speaking, Apple has blocked Face ID on certain iPhones when a Third Party Repair Service has been used. This may not always happen.
They reversed this decision in 2021, after initially blocking Face ID on iPhone 13 Screen Repairs actioned by Third Party Services.
This will be reversed once your iPhone is updated to iOS 15.2.
TOUCH ID DISABLED
Touch ID can be disabled during a Screen Repair, including models such as the iPhone 6, 6s, 7, and 8.
This can be resolved by resetting your device or updating to the latest iOS.

With Home Button Replacements- you cannot always be guaranteed to be able to restore Touch ID to your device.
